What is an Indemnity Backed Guarantee?

An Indemnity Backed Guarantee is a guarantee given by a contractor to its customer to provide peace of mind in case the contractor has ceased trading. The liability is transferred to the guarantee provider.
• Contractors can offer guarantees for up to 30 years, but if the contractor was to close down then their guarantee would be worthless. So it’s essential to get cover underwritten by Lonon Underwriters as our guarantees are.
• Our Guarantee will honour the contractors guarantee for the remainder the guarantee was valid for.
